Pink & Blue Makeup Tutorial

I've been experimenting with colours lately. I feel like summer is the best time to do such thing as everything is bright and colourful!

There are so many bright colours that you can use with or without eyeliner, mascara, etc... I decided to combine bright and dark this time to achieve a softer, yet still brave look.

Pink tones are a little risky to apply around your eyes (as well as red, blue and purple tones), because the skin around your eyes naturally includes these tones (as there's a lot of veins and the skin is very thin). Therefore it's important to use more concealer than usual so you don't look tired and also to make sure that these colours don't enhance your dark circles (if you have them).

It's also important to find a balance between the tones around your eyes and your lips. Lipstick can change the whole face, don't forget that. So if you're mixing a lot of colourful eyeshadows, go for a nude toned lip product so you don't end up looking like a clown, ha-ha!

Enough said, here's the tutorial!

  • Apply white colour into the inner corners. Continue by adding the colour under your eyes as well.

  • Blend everything to achieve a softer look.

  • Apply a pink eyeshadow as a base around the whole lid.

  • With a flat brush, add a dark blue colour. Try to focus on the outer corners, almost creating a thick wing.

  • Blend the edges.

  • Apply some mascara to finish the look.

  • Lastly, use a light pink or nude lip gloss.

That's the whole look complete!
