❤ Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial ❤
Hi everyone!
Because Valentine's Day is almost here, I've decided to create a simple makeup look that's not heavy at all and so simple to do.
I know there's a lot of people that don't like Valentine's Day, I'm still not sure how I feel about it myself, but I like the idea of it for sure.
So here's a quick tutorial that you can do if you feel like you don't want to look too overdone. Or you can just eat tons of sweets and watch movies (as I will for sure ha-ha!).
In the end if it's not your cup of tea, it's just another day. Make the most of it. ;)
- Start off by applying your favourite moisturizer and foundation.
- Cover any redness or dark circles with concealer. Set everything with matt powder.
- Apply a light amount of blush. I've decided to skip bronzer, but then again, you can totally go with it.
- Fill in your eyebrows if you need to.
- Moving on to eyes, apply a cream toned eyeshadow. (You can also use eyeshadow primer or concealer -- this is optional, but it helps to intensify the eyeshadows as they are pretty light so they need some base).
- Next use a highlighter or a white eyeshadow to bring out some areas around your eyes (brow bone & inner corners) -- this makes you look more awake.
- After that apply a little bit of rosegold shimmer. (Applying glitter/shimmer with your fingers by dabbing instead or smearing will prevent it from falling onto your cheeks).
- Because I wanted this to be romantic and soft, I went for brown eyeliner instead of black. Just apply it as close to your lashes as possible and do a little wing at the end.
- Prepare your lashes by curling them if you need to, if you have naturally curled lashes, you are literally the luckiest person on Earth! Quick tip: If you're having trouble with curling your lashes or you feel like the curls don't last that long, heat your curler with a hairdryer before using it.
- Finish off by applying your favourite mascara.
- Give those bottom lashes some love too.
- Last but not least, use a pink toned lip gloss.
Whether you celebrate Valentine's Day or not, I think this is a nice look to try.
Love,
Bonnie. xoxo
