4. DIY: Tin Lanterns | Blogmas 2015

The fourth of December is here and so is my name's day. (that's a thing we celebrate in our country and the fourth of December is when my name is celebrated!

Today I'm going away to celebrate it, so I prepared something quick to describe as I'm in such a hurry. Here's a simple tutorial on how to create these cute tin lanterns. They don't have to be Christmasy only, you can have them in your room all year round.

You will need some empty tins, a thicker nail and a hammer.

This is how they look in daylight. You can decorate them however you'd like. You can use ribbons, colour them or use some gems. The choice is yours.

Fill your tins with water and let them freeze overnight. After that just print a pattern, stick it to the can and gently create small dots around it using the hammer and nail.

You're lanterns should be done at this point. Of course don't forget to unfreeze the ice, dry them and put a candle inside. They look so pretty in evenings and they take so little to make.

Love,
Bonnie.xoxo
