1. Winter Essentials | Blogmas 2015
I truly cannot believe, the first day of December is here. I have so much stuff to do, but I still want to do Blogmas like I promised.
We are now 24 days away from Christmas (or 23 for my country -- we have Christmas eve on the 24th). Let me tell you, I couldn't be more excited! And I know I say this a lot, but I've been looking forward to this month since the beginning of the year, ha-ha!
My first post is dedicated to all my favourite things, without which I simply couldn't imagine winter -- my trusty winter essentials.
Let me start with my absolute favourite -- Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 45. I've been looking for a nude lipstick with a slightly pink undertone for so long and I finally found one. To be honest I wear it almost every single day.
My next essential for cold weather would definitely be a lip scrub. This is something I swear by. My lips tend to get really dry in winter and I hate that feeling, so I always exfoliate them at least once a day.
By the way, this is just pure honey mixed with hard sugar. You can also use it for your whole body, of course if you're not allergic to honey. Another good alternative for the sugar would be chopped oats, but I just like the sugar better, cause you can keep it on the shelf for weeks.
And the last lip product is a lip balm, which is a complete must have for me. I got this one when I was ill, they gave it to me in the drugstore for free. I thought I'd give it a try and it feels so smooth on your lips. To be honest I am not too familiar with this brand, but in terms of this product, I highly recommend it!
Moving onto nails, these two are my new faves. In my opinion red is for sure the significant colour for the Christmas season. So I took out these two. The sparkly red one is from Avon and the other one is Rimmel. The Rimmel one looks stunning on black nail polish!
Like I said, winter is not very friendly to my skin. Most of the time it's dry and red. Therefore I must apply tons of moisturizers, creams and lotions. The other day my mom bought this moisturizer and I realised she wasn't using it at all. So I started doing so myself. I have never really been using moisturizers under my makeup, but it makes SO MUCH difference, let me tell you.
This one is from Mixa and I think it's meant for mothers, ha-ha! But it works fine for me.
I wasn't too sure how I felt about oil sprays, I don't like the feeling of oil on my face. And I also don't like applying oily products before I go to bed, because it for some reason makes me feel uncomfortable -- I guess I'm a messy sleeper ha-ha!
This is my one exception, I love spraying this on my skin before taking a bath. It sinks into the skin very quickly, so it doesn't feel oily at all after just few minutes. After that you're left with smooth and refreshed skin.
Hair needs love too! This would have to be my favourite conditioner to protect me from the winter frizz. My hair is really soft and messy, so I definitely need something like this.
Moving onto the clothes, I'd like to start with these pyjama pants. I've had them for two years now I think and I just love them so much. They are so comfortable, very lose and also keep you warm. And can we just take a moment for the Christmas detailing? Oh... I'm in love! Btw I saw them in Tesco I think. So they definitely weren't expensive.
I mean... winter would be nothing without cozy jackets and jumpers, wouldn't it? I think I'm definitely one of those who prefer to wear comfortable clothes. And warm jackets make me feel calm and relaxed for some reason.
I cannot forget about my bunny slippers. They are these furry boots that make your legs sooo warm. Coming home after a long day, changing into comfy clothes and putting these on feels like heaven..
These would be my main winter essentials, I mean... I could ramble for days about the things I love of course, ha-ha! As always, thank you for reading, I'm gonna go and tuck up into my bed, because I'm incredibly tired. I hope you're excited for Christmas as much as I am and stay tuned until tomorrow for another Blogmas post. :)
Love,
