How to: Quick Baked Potatoes

Hello everyone!

I've got another food post today. I'm obsessed with food (in a healthy way, ha-ha!). I love spending time in my kitchen and trying new recipes.

Because it's summer break, I find myself home alone more than usual. That means taking care of myself and by that I mean cooking, cleaning the house, etc. If it was only on me, I'd cook anything, just because I love trying new flavours. However my mom is the opposite of me, she likes to stick to meals that she knows. That's why we usually cook quick and simple.

To make both of us happy, I had to come up with an idea and that is to make the meals we're used to, but with a twist.

Recently I was looking for something super quick to make. This came to my mind, so we bought the ingredients and I tried my best.




Ingredients:

potatoes
heavy cream
grated cheese
ham or bacon



How to:

Cover your baking sheet with a baking paper.


Clean the potatoes in water, keeping them in their skin and cook them in boiling water until they're soft. Cut a cross on their top. Don't cut all the way through, just enough to stuff them with the ingredients.

First stuff them with bacon or ham cut in dice.


Add the heavy cream on top. For me it's all about that so I added way too much, ha-ha! But that's how I like them.


Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake them for about 15 minutes. You don't need to keep them there for too long, the texture is not going to change much as they're already cooked.


Cover them with grated cheese. Again, the amount depends on how you like it.


Put them back into the oven for only few minutes. At this point you only want the cheese to melt nicely.


You can make these as a side dish, but they can perfectly act as a quick meal as well.
