20. Red Lip & Brown Smokey Eyes | Blogmas 2015

I'm finally feeling better after the horrible two days. Today I was finally able to get some work done, which included cleaning my room a little, working on some stuff for 2016 and also filming a makeup tutorial.

Makeup is probably one of my biggest passions, I just love the way it makes you feel. It can completely change your mood, make you feel better and more confident. It shouldn't be a mask, however sometimes I like that. Doing a little makeover, changing my style or trying something new. It's like a therapy.

Today I wanted to do a look I did last year for my Christmas Eve. I'm not sure what I'll be doing this year, I guess it will depend on the type of dress I'll be wearing.

In makeup world, brown shades are very important. They can not only create a look, but completely transform your whole face. Every skin tone has a brown shade in it, therefore it suits everybody as well. That is the reason why I stick to brown eye shadows the most. It's magic in powder form. Ha-ha!

So whether you're doing this look with brown or black, you can wear it to any outfit you'd like. Dark tones don't fight the colours.

First, highlight the area under the arch of your brows.

With a flat brush, apply some milk chocolate colour into your crease. Go slightly above it, to make your eyes a bit more open and focus on your outer corner mainly.

Repeat the process with dark chocolate colour.

Don't forget to blend the edges, so you don't look like a superhero. Ha-ha!

Now it's time to highlight the middle of your lid. You can do that with either a flat brush, but your finger is the best. Apply any highlighter or white eyeshadow with a patting motion.

To make your eyes look bigger, apply the dark brown eye shadow under your eyes as well.

Highlight your inner corners with any glitter or eye shadow you'd like.

Apply eyeliner. Because I liked the highlighted lid, I decided to go for the thinnest line possible. Good tip would be to follow the eye shadow line. That way, your eyeliner will be even.

Curl your lashes and apply mascara. Or you can go for false lashes as well, whatever you prefer.

Top the whole look with a gorgeous red lipstick.

And the look is done!

As always, thank you for reading.
Love,
